The Travel Institute Launches Leadership Series for Emerging and Experienced ManagersTED-talk level experts to lead new executive skill-building programFRAMINGHAM, MA, May 2, 2016 – The Travel Institute today announced details of its first-ever Leadership Learning Series, a five-part webinar program that kicks off May 18 and focuses on the emerging as well as the experienced manager. The topics covered – igniting performance, developing personal stamina and integrity, managing people, database management, and supplier negotiations – are areas that are key to an executive’s success, with particular emphasis on one’s ability to lead, learn, and innovate. “What really excites us about this new professional development series is the ‘TED-Talk’ level international speakers we’ve lined up to lead the webinars,” said Chief Operating Officer Diane Petras, CMP, CTIE. “We’ve brought together some of the best minds, from both inside and outside the travel industry, to serve as your very own business coach. “The sessions will be interactive and provide plenty of time for Q and A. This type of access is pretty rare in our business and normally comes with a ‘sticker-shock’ price tag. This time we’re offering the training at no cost to showcase our extraordinary content, especially for those who haven’t participated in our programs for a while. We think they’ll be quite pleased with the superior quality and expanded course offerings. We certainly hear that from our basic and premium members who have unlimited access to our growing learning library on a 24/7 basis,” said Petras. Each webinar lasts 45 minutes to one hour, with time allotted for questions from participants. All sessions are free but advanced registration is required for each webinar due to limited space. The Leadership Learning Series features the following sessions with full webinar descriptions and registration available on the Travel Institute’s website at www.thetravelinstitute.com:
The new Leadership Learning Series is part of The Travel Institute’s “The Year of the Travel Professional” campaign in 2016. The year-long program is based on a two-pronged approach: skills-based training to expand one’s sales, marketing, and management/leadership expertise; and a public relations primer designed to help individuals effectively promote that expertise to a variety of audiences. The non-profit education organization kicked off its efforts in February with a 10-part webinar series, “Advice from the Experts,” for those new to the travel industry. Plans are also in the works for the third annual Promote Your Professionalism program in July. The Leadership Learning Series showcases the caliber of topics found in The Travel Institute’s current management (CTC) and leadership (CTIE) curriculums.
