Collette Vacations' Announces Promotions at its Pawtucket, RI Headquarters Pawtucket, RI, August 18, 2010 -- Collette Vacations, a global leader of world travel that offers escorted vacation experiences on all 7 continents, including Europe and Asia tours , announces the promotion of three of its employees; while company President and CEO Dan Sullivan reports that Collette’s growth in revenue is more than 60 percent this year which has led to the continued hiring of staff internally to handle the increase in travel business in 2010. Eric Welter, Collette’s senior vice president of marketing, announced that Debora Moniz has been promoted to Manager of Creative Services. Moniz, of Cranston, RI, began at Collette as a Graphic Designer in 2004, and has been promoted several times during her six years with Collette. Prior to this recent promotion, she was the company’s Supervisor of Branding and Design. A graduate of Rhode Island College, Moniz began her career at an advertising agency in Newport, Rhode Island, where she worked for six years. “Debbie is a tremendous asset to the marketing department managing a creative team and bringing her extensive design knowledge to bear on Collette’s various travel brands,” said Welter. In a move aimed to enhance internal and external client relations, Paula Twidale, Collette’s executive vice president, announced two recent departmental changes to take effect mid-September. Peter Hopps , of Pawtucket, RI, and a 31 year veteran with Collette Vacations, will transition to Director of Purchasing & Building Services. Currently Director of Guest Relations, a position he has held since 1994, Hopps interacts with Collette’s clientele regarding their travel experience and works with Collette’s inside strategic team to ensure customer satisfaction in met and exceeded. “In his new role, he will utilize his knowledge of our business to positively impact our ability to manage purchasing and building services effectively and fiscally,” said Twidale. Hopps began his career at Collette as a tour manager for motor coach tours in 1978. He is a graduate of Dean College. Christopher Carriere a 16 year veteran with Collette Vacations will move from Inside Sales and his position as Director of Sales Operations, to assume the role of Director of Customer Service. Carriere began his career at Collette as an Account Executive, quickly assuming leadership roles as an integral member of the group and reservations departments. A graduate of Johnson and Wales University with a Bachelor or Arts degree in Travel Tourism Management, Carriere resides in Woonsocket, RI. “Chris has developed tremendous client relations skills throughout his years of experience in inside sales,” says Twidale. “He is clearly poised to represent us in our effort to increase customer retention.” Collette Vacations is a family-owned business headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
