Collette Takes Different Approach to Exotic Destinations
The global tour operator takes pride in giving travelers the chance to immerse themselves in exotic experiences
Pawtucket, RI (May 10, 2023) – Collette has consistently worked to put an added emphasis on its tours to Africa, Asia, and South America. North America’s longest-running tour operator allows its travelers to enjoy unique experiences when exploring such unique areas.
As part of the “Wilderness of Southern Africa: Safari by Land and Water” tour travelers traverse the area in multiple fashions, plus get the chance to dine with locals. On the 13th day of the tour, travelers pay a visit to a local family in Victoria Falls. During the visit they’ll get to enjoy an authentic, simple, home-hosted meal and learn what life is like for the household. Throughout the tour, there isn’t a shortage of opportunities to absorb the wildlife. Travelers get to ride amongst lions, leopards, elephants, and other wildlife unique to Africa on a 4x4. Later in the experience, travelers will embark on a three-night cruise on a safari boat along Lake Kariba. During the cruise, they’ll be able to observe plenty of birdlife and game species that call the area home.
Collette’s “Patagonia: Edge of the World” small group Explorations tour gives travelers the chance to learn about Chilean culture from the locals. On day five of the tour, travelers will enjoy a lamb roast lunch at a local estancia with guachos or cowboys, where they’ll be able to swap stories and learn more about the surrounding area.
Travelers who explore Japan on Collette’s “Japan: Past and Present” tour get to enjoy unique experiences like spending a day with female Ama pearl divers. They’ll first observe as the divers perform a demonstration, then later enjoy a traditional Ama lunch where they’ll get to learn more about these women and their fascinating profession. Later in the tour, travelers will spend a night at a working Buddhist Temple at Mount Koya. They’ll spend the night sleeping on a traditional Tatami mat, after enjoying vegetarian meals along with the monks of the temple.
“Though Collette offers over 160 tours across all seven continents, it doesn't mean that each one isn’t planned with the utmost attention to detail,” said Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, president and chief customer experience officer at Collette. “Our product team spends time working to improve our tours and include the best possible experiences for our travelers, each and every day.”
