DSA VACATIONS REAPPOINTED TO OPERATE SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS VACATIONS®
South African Airways Awards DSA Vacations
for the Airline’s Branded Vacation Package Program
Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 18, 2018) – South African Airways (SAA), the national flag carrier of South Africa, has reappointed DSA Vacations to manage and operate South African Airways Vacations® (SAA Vacations®), the airline’s branded vacation package program for the North America market. The three-year term of the agreement is effective January 1, 2019, through December 31, 2021. Since its inception in 2006, SAA Vacations has grown to become one of the largest tour operators selling a wide range of air-inclusive affordable luxury vacation packages to popular tourist destinations throughout Africa.
DSA Vacations, formally known as Destination Southern Africa, was founded in 2001 and is currently headquartered in Tucson, Arizona with a staff complement of 15 African Specialists. As a division of South African Airways, SAA Vacations® utilizes the airline’s extensive route network to launch a collection of air-inclusive packages throughout South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Senegal and Africa’s Indian Ocean Islands. SAA Vacations® features over 80 air-inclusive packages which offer many of the leading hotels, safari lodges, and attractions in Africa that cater to all types of travelers. Over the last eight years, DSA's partnerships with South African Airways and an array of locally based representatives in the tourism sector throughout Africa has inspired the expansion of their product portfolio, enabling them to be awarded as the selected operator for the SAA Vacations® program for the third consecutive term.
