The “Family, Culture and Safari” air-inclusive package is offered from $4,799* (restrictions apply) per person for adults and $2,299* (restrictions apply) per person for children under 12 years of age.  A special savings of $100.00 per person is also being offered by SAA Vacations® for packages purchased by May 15, 2017.  This special offer can save a family of four $400.00 on their South Africa vacation.
The family vacations starts with round-trip Economy Class air transportation from New York-JFK International Airport or Washington Dulles International Airport to Johannesburg on South African Airways, the national carrier of South Africa and the continent’s most awarded airline.  Upon arrival in South Africa, travelers will enjoy 3-nights hotel accommodations at the Sandton Sun Hotel in Johannesburg and cultural tours of the World Heritage Cradle of Humankind, Lesedi Cultural Village, Soweto and the Apartheid Museum.  The itinerary then continues onto Sun City, one of South Africa’s premier family vacation destinations, for 2-nights’ accommodations at The Palace of the Lost City in Sun City, followed by 3-nights’ accommodations at Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge adjacent to South Africa’s malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park.  Days will be filled with safari game drives viewing wildlife and exploring the South African bush country.  Opportunities to relax, indulge in a spa treatment or participate in additional nature activities abound at this luxury retreat.

The child price is applicable for children under 12 years of age.  Prices valid as of March 20, 2017 for departures from New York (JFK) or Washington, DC (Dulles) between the dates of April 01 and August 31, 2017, with the same itinerary available at higher prices during other travel periods. The $100 per person discount is offered for packages purchased by May 15, 2017.  Other departure points and domestic flights within the U.S. can be booked.
