Katarina Line Launches 2022 Travel Agent Trade Show Tour as Industry Recovers Following Government Lockdowns

Katarina Line, Croatia’s premier small ship cruise company and DMC, has launched its 2022 travel agent trade show season with presentations across North America in cities that include Boston, New York, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. The company has begun accepting reservations to meet with agents in those cities before and after the shows to provide them with personalized assistance in selling small ship cruising in Croatia. At the same time, it is ramping up its one-on-one educational seminars as the travel industry slowly returns to pre-pandemic activities.

Katarina Line sails the Dalmatian coast with guaranteed departures from cities that include Split, Dubrovnik and Opatija. It provides the full range of small ships, from Deluxe Superior vessels with capacity of up to 39 persons to the more intimate sailing boats and catamarans.

“Small ship cruising is surging in popularity as travelers seek out the more immersive vacation options where they won’t get ‘lost in the crowd,’” said Daniel Hauptfeld, Katarina Line’s marketing director. “Our largest ships, among the most spacious, hold no more than 39 passengers, with an attentive crew that makes everyone feel special. A family or small group can charter one of our smaller vessels and have it all to themselves the entire journey, if they wish.”

Hauptfeld noted that more than 98 percent of the company’s bookings come from travel advisors. Meeting them in person is an excellent way to educate them on all the benefits of recommending Katarina Line. Preferred partners, for example, enjoy one of the most generous commission structures in the travel industry.

Upcoming Trade Shows

Katarina Line’s trade show season includes presentations at a series of Travel & Adventure Shows in Boston, March 5 – 6; Los Angeles, March 12 – 13; New York, March 18 – 20; and San Francisco, May 21 – 22. The company will also attend the Small Ship Cruising Expo in Denver, April 2; the ASTA Arizona workshop in Scottsdale, June 15 – 16; as well as the Travel Agent Forum in Las Vegas, June 20 – 23.

In between these trade shows, Katarina Line will hold Agent Workshops in Arlington, VA, Baltimore, MD, and Cherry Hill, NJ, on March 7, 8 and 9, respectively. It is also visiting Texas, where it will hold agent workshops in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston on April 4, 5, 6 and 7, respectively. Other workshops will be held in Detroit, April 13; Cleveland, April 14; Chicago, May 16; Milwaukee, May 17; and Minneapolis, May 18.

Katarina Line will also attend the ASTA Global River Cruise Expo in Budapest, March 16 – 20.

Individual meetings and presentations can be scheduled during the events, as well as before and after the shows. The company can visit travel advisors in their offices, depending on schedules. Agents can schedule meetings by contacting sales@katarina-line.hr.

“Travel agents are our greatest resources,” said Hauptfeld. “We appreciate their continued support during one of the travel industry’s most challenging times and look forward to meeting them in person again and making 2022 our most successful season.”
