Luxury travel advisors selling high-end cruises and European FITs are riding high this Wave Season, with many reporting record-breaking January sales—and admitting their biggest challenge is simply keeping up.

For advisors focused on the mid-market, however, consumer caution and shorter trips are forcing a rethink and prompting new strategies to drive growth.

“So thankful for a good start!” says Lisa Thornton. “It’s been great—but I’m definitely seeing a gap. I’m getting more lower-budget bookings or big spends, and not much in between.
