Winter Wellness in Fuerteventura
I find winter an annual trial-by-ice. The damp Irish cold, the constant gray, the 4pm darkness – it all makes me feel I’m only living at 50% capacity, like a phone stuck on low battery mode. Everyone bangs on about cozy nights in and the joys of soup, but I need sun. So, every…

A Perfect Slow Day in Savannah
by Virginia Atwater Sunday December 21, 2025
I'd heard about Savannah's charm for years, but nothing quite prepared me for the reality of stepping into what felt like a picture-perfect movie set. Highlights of Bridgetown, Barbados
by Nadia Ali Sunday December 21, 2025
Located in the Caribbean, Barbados appeals to visitors who simply want to kick back and enjoy the sun, sea, and surf. With its aqua blue sea and powdery beaches, you are never too far away from a place to sit and relax. Simply hop on a bus marked to the 'City' or hail down a mini-bus taxi.
The entrance to Bridgetown is across the Constitution River (also known as the Careenage) on the Chamberlain Bridge. It is a historic, decorative humpbacked bridge that was originally called the Indian Bridge when it…
