The genius inve ntor Buckminster Fuller once said, “If all the politicians in the world were to be taken out to sea and sunk, it would be of no real loss to humanity. But if we were to lose our scientists and engineers, civilization would collapse.”
Fuller may have been being a tiny bit facetious, but we get his point. In the current political climate, I would add travel companies to the list of people who are trying to hold things together against attacks by politicians whose actions sometimes make them appear intent on tearing civilization down to the ground.
