In a word, no.
The world is in a state of flux. It always has been and always will be. So, it stands to reason that the travel business is also constantly changing. Destination trends come and go, new hotels and attractions open, and there are always new travel technologies to keep up with. As a travel professional, you will be left in the dust if you are not bringing your a-game. So that ACC, MCC, CTC, VTA, or DS after your name does not mean much unless you constantly extend that education.

I have a work in progress called "Up and Running," a course on marketing for travel advisors. It is an ongoing project with no end in sight. Here it is for those of you who might want to peruse it. In the lower right-hand corner is "Roxie." You can ask Roxie about the text, and she's pretty good with answers. My son, Ryan, created her for another project we have. You’ll Never Know Until You Ask
From time to time, my wife interrupts my morning crossword puzzle concentration by sharing an article she feels I will connect with. Such was the case this morning. In this particular scenario, a woman wrote a letter to a celebrity entertainer on a whim and was surprised when he accepted her invitation to show him around Denver. This lesson in “asking” reminded me of a similar story from an agent I once interviewed having been impressed with an annual group she hosted onboard cruise ships.
