As We Come Out of COVID, Focus on the Handles
by John Frenaye Monday September 13, 2021
When COVID spra ng onto the scene in March of 2020, we had no idea what to do and had so many questions. Mask? Stay inside? Stay outside? Do we wash the groceries before putting them away? How often should we wash our hands? Where the hell did all the toilet paper go? What do you mean there is a beer shortage? And as we come out of COVID (yes, I believe we are…it may not be as fast as anyone wants, but I believe we are), there are more questions and concerns.
As to the questions, ask them. Ask the government, ask the suppliers, ask your utility companies and GDS suppliers. Never be afraid to ask as many questions as needed to make you feel comfortable…

Timing is everything
by Richard Earls Monday September 13, 2021
The year is sli pping by quickly. The holiday of the autumnal equinox, traditionally called Harvest Home, came to us all in September and traditional Autumn is close behind. Long ago, humanity lived by such agricultural markers. But your clients, and all of the potential clients "out there," have their own schedules. They travel when they are ready. Their travel plans have nothing to do with your preparations, business plans, or agendas. But someday, Ms. Client will look at Mr. Client and say something like, "Let's go to Ireland off-season this year." Before they next think of price or plans or preparations, will your clients' thoughts turn to you?
Too often, we treat marketing like it's a bag of "tricks"…

Cruising Insurance with Trawick International
Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 1 pm EDT/10 am PDT
Do you need cruise insurance in today's Covid-19 focused world? The short answer? Yes. The long answer? Yes, because many cruise lines are requiring it, especially if you are unvaccinated. A recent report by MSNBC stated that Royal Caribbean now requires all guests over the age of 16 sailings from U.S. ports, except those in Florida, to be fully vaccinated. Starting Aug. 1, the rule will apply to all guests over 12. Passengers leaving from Florida ports from Aug. 1 to Dec. 31 who are not vaccinated will need travel insurance. Royal Caribbean is the first cruise line to make travel insurance mandatory for unvaccinated travelers. Over the next few weeks, we believe other cruise lines adopt this policy, making it imperative to have travel insurance before going on a cruise.
