As Airbnb Grows, So Do Claims of Discrimination
When Ronnia Cherry, 30, and Stefan Grant, 27, rented a house in Atlanta through Airbnb last year, they were caught off guard by police officers at their door, with guns drawn, responding to a neighbor’s report that they were thieves. “We had to explain the owner gave us the security codes,” said Ms. Cherry, who, like Mr. Grant, is among the rising tide of black travelers decrying racist experiences while using the home-sharing service, and giving birth to the social media campaign #AirbnbWhileBlack…

Gay Travelers on Where to Go From Here
When a homophobic killer armed with an assault rifle perpetrated one of the worst mass shootings in United States history in an Orlando gay bar this month, the reassuring idea that such places are sanctuaries was upended for many of us. Gay bars are supposed to be refuges from intolerance; judgment-free zones that are, for many people, the only public places you can be truly, essentially, you. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people often travel with the thought in mind that almost anywhere we go, we’ll be able to find a neighborhood, a club circuit or a beach town where acceptance is a given…

Travel For Your Soul That Doesn't Hurt The Planet
The most life-altering travel experience of my life was a two-week African safari to Kenya and Tanzania, mostly in Tanzania. Art of Travel - summertime in Europe is time for me to build relationships
Summer in Europe is a time when a lot of people switch off. As the school year unwinds, Europeans prepare for their summer holidays. Generally, travel arrangements are done around spring, but there are still those who patiently wait for the inevitable “last minute” deals on flights and packages.
There are also many Europeans who prefer to travel just within Europe. Road trips are common; families drive to seaside destinations or mountain resorts. South of Europe is very popular, particularly Italy, Croatia, Spain, France, and Portugal. There are also the weekend city destinations like London, Paris, Rome, Florence, Venice, Barcelona, and Amsterdam… the usual suspects. But also popular are Berlin, Munich, Prague, Cracow, Budapest, and Vienna, just to name a few.
As we keep a close watch…

Become The Exception: Prospecting Preliminaries, Part 2
Reality Check
You must be realistic when creating a prospecting game plan. If you create an overly ambitious plan that will cost an arm and a leg, it’s not going to work (unless you were smart enough to cash in your Internet stocks at the top). So your plan has to fit your budgetary constraints.
Time is another issue. You have little league games, on-call chauffeuring duties for the kids, church functions, and other personal commitments. You want to get ahead, but you don’t want to put yourself in the bondage of sixty to seventy hour workweeks. The system I am going to outline can fit into any time constraint and still work for…
